Nutrition Tip- Just add cinnamon! Studies have shown that not only does cinnamon taste great, it has numerous health benefits including lowering blood sugar, helping with digestive ailments and increasing brain function just to name a few. Just 1/2 a teaspoon a day can improve insulin resistance and aid in weight control! So add a little to your coffee, protein shakes, sweet potatoes, oatmeal - my favorite is in my cottage cheese.

Nutrition Tip- HYDRATE! :) Especially on warm days like the ones we have been having. Your body uses water for numerous things including digestion, to transport nutrients to your cells and to remove toxins and waste. A clean diet isn't complete without lots of H20! Shoot for a minimum of 1/2 an ounce per pound of your body weight, an ounce per pound is even better. Drink up!

Nutrition Tip- Eating a balanced breakfast within 30 mins of waking will jump start your metabolism for the rest of day, turning your body into a fat burning machine! :) It's important to give your body the fuel that it needs to be efficient throughout the day, so be sure not to skip that first and most important meal.

Health Tip- Did you know that sleep is a key component to weight loss?? If your body isn't on a consistent sleep schedule, it is much harder for you to metabolize food, manage your stress and kick butt in your workouts. So, for all you busy bees, don't forget the importance of catching Z's!!
